Description

The Higher Education Resource Services (HERS) aims to leverage more than five-decades of leadership development to address critical gaps in higher education’s STEM leadership pipeline for women of color and gender-diverse groups. Through a three-year, tiered, train-the-trainer model, HERS will establish executive coaching circles with STEM leaders; recruit new, emerging STEM leaders to attend the HERS Leadership Institute (HLI); and provide support for the cohorts to engage with and be a part of launching a dynamic and sustainable HERS-LUCE STEM Leader Community within the HERS Network of alums and allies. This community and network aim to better equip participants to pursue top leadership positions within academia, while also providing members with career and skill building opportunities. Funding would support stipends for members, full tuition and scholarships, media support, and travel to events and participating institutions.
