About Connor
Connor Morency graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2019 with a B.E. in mechanical engineering, where he won the 2019 NASA Student Launch Competition as the simulations lead for the Vanderbilt Aerospace Design Laboratory. He spent the following year in India as a Luce Scholar where he worked on an atmospheric physics model at the International Centre for Theoretical Sciences. Currently, Connor is an aerospace engineering PhD student at the University of Colorado Boulder, advised by Dr. Kenneth Jansen. His research focuses on hypersonic vehicle design and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations. He is supported by a Smead Fellowship, awarded in 2020, and a National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate (NDSEG) Fellowship, awarded in 2021. Professional ambitions aside, Connor enjoys playing baseball in a Denver men’s league, learning new songs on the guitar, and traveling to places he’s never been.Back to Directory
