Bridging Voices Conference Discussion on Orthodoxy and Sexuality Continues Online

In August 2019, scholars, pastors, clinicians, and other experts gathered in Oxford to discuss contemporary issues of sex, gender, and sexuality in relation to the Orthodox Church. Supported by British Council's Bridging Voices project and organized by a consortium of scholars from the University of Exeter and the Orthodox Christian Studies Center at Fordham University, the conference provided a respectful environment in which a full range of perspectives could be expressed.

To continue the discussions begun at the conference, Public Orthodoxy, a public-facing, scholarly forum, is publishing summaries of the workshop presentations online. Orthodoxy in Dialogue, an independent publication of ideas relevant to Orthodox Christianity, is concurrently inviting and providing a platform for religious leaders, scholars, and non-academics to respond to those summaries and ideas.
