Eastern Washington University (EWU) seeks to deepen its commitment to inclusive, equitable, and transformative learning by developing and implementing a career exploration summer program. The Women Elevate STEM (WE STEM+) Program will empower young women from underrepresented communities in their junior and senior years in high school to explore and pursue STEM careers. Participants will engage in immersive learning and skill-building activities, hear from other women in STEM, and experience STEM workplaces through a series of site visits. Additionally, EWU will partner with its local public television station to produce recruitment and educational videos, reaching over 2 million people in potential viewership.
