The Independent Journalism Foundation, New York, NY—To support the Burma Journalism Training program. A one-time grant of $30,000.

Primary Source, Watertown, MA—To support curriculum materials and professional development for K-12 teachers to increase Americans’ understanding of China. A one-time grant of $15,000.

Silliman University, Dumaguete City, Philippines—To support a program on Applied Ethics. A one-time grant of $25,000.

United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia, New York, NY—A one-time grant of $30,000 is directed to the three institutions listed below, all affiliated with The United Board, with secondary grants of $10,000 each:
  • Chung Chi College, Chinese University of Hong Kong, on the occasion of the College's 60th anniversary, designated for the ongoing operation of the Elisabeth Luce Moore Library;
  • International Christian University, Tokyo, on the occasion of the University's 60th anniversary, designated for the service-learning programs of the university and the university’s service-learning outreach to other colleges and universities in East and Southeast Asia;
  • Tunghai University, Taichung, Taiwan, on the 50th anniversary of the dedication of the Henry W. Luce Chapel, for ongoing maintenance and programs of the Luce Chapel.
