Public Radio International, Minneapolis, MN—For coverage of religion and international affairs on The World. A three-year grant of $400,000.

Search for Common Ground, Washington, DC—For a project to reframe the public conversation in the US about Islam and Muslims. A two-year grant of $200,000.

Tufts University, the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Medford, MA—For a collaborative research project on religious claims, nationalism and human suffering. A three-year grant of $540,000.

University of California, Davis, Davis, CA—For a public outreach project on women and Islamic cultures. A three-year grant of $350,000.

University of California, Irvine, Irvine, CA—To launch a project on “Charity, Representation, and Humanitarianism in Africa: Religious and Secular Perspectives.” A one-time grant of $40,000.

University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, IN— To support Contending Modernities: Catholic, Muslim, Secular. A three-year grant of $440,000.
