What do we mean by "American art"?

"American art" includes visual art in the United States; specifically, scholarly study of painting, sculpture, prints, drawings, decorative arts, photography, and architecture generally accepted as American.

What types of products are not eligible for support?

The American Art program does not include support for the performing arts or grants for film or broadcast media. The program also does not fund the creation of new artwork.
